The latest agreement enables Cleveland Clinic to continue deploying Siemens Healthineers equipment across multiple campuses and departments.

"By integrating technology, services, and clinical support more closely across the global health system, we can improve access, enhance efficiency, and create a better experience for patients."

The two parties are pursuing these goals not only with new technology. Siemens Healthineers' expanded dedicated team at Cleveland Clinic will assist the medical center in developing a theranostics program, which combines targeted imaging and therapy to achieve personalized cancer treatment.

Cleveland Clinic will also collaborate with Siemens Healthineers to become a center of excellence for MRI technologist education. The program covers clinical education, protocol optimization, technologist skill development, and radiation safety education. Additionally, it will support physicians in expanding CT imaging into cardiology, radiation therapy, and image-guided surgery.

The agreement comes about six months after Siemens Healthineers established a collaboration with Mayo Clinic aimed at improving the diagnosis and treatment of neurodegenerative diseases and cancer. Key areas of the Mayo Clinic collaboration include using image-guided technology to detect and treat metastases.

Siemens Healthineers' competitors have also reached similar large-scale agreements, with GE HealthCare announcing a ten-year, $500 million collaboration with a Catholic health system last week.
